Company Honey Hospitality & Cliff Bell’s Presents “Jazz Lives Here” During Detroit Jazz Festival Weekend

Four Downtown Detroit Establishments Come Together September 4–6 to Celebrate the Music, Venues and Community That Make Detroit Jazz Possible

Detroit — As Detroit welcomes musicians and jazz fans from around the world for Detroit Jazz Festival weekend, Company Honey Hospitality is celebrating the music, neighborhoods and community it loves with Company Honey Hospitality & Cliff Bell’s Presents: Jazz Lives Here, a three-night celebration September 4–6 connecting Cliff Bell’s, Queens, The Bastille and Old Park Bar.

Jazz Lives Here encourages festivalgoers to continue exploring downtown Detroit before the festival, after the festival and between sets. Throughout the weekend, guests can pick up a special Jazz Lives Here Passport and make their way around to the four participating Company Honey Hospitality establishments, collecting an experience marker at each stop. The goal is simple: celebrate the musicians, establishments and people who make Detroit's jazz community something worth experiencing—not just during festival weekend, but throughout the year. And added bonus: for every completed Jazz Lives Here Passport that is turned into one of the establishments, Company Honey Hospitality & Cliff Bell’s will make a contribution to the Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation NextGen Program which provides emerging jazz musicians with live performance opportunities, professional mentorship, and global exposure. 

At Cliff Bell’s, 2030 Park Ave., the music continues throughout the weekend with evening performances Friday through Sunday and special late-night Detroit Jazz Festival Jam Sessions following the Friday and Saturday shows.

Together, the three nights reinforce Cliff Bell’s longstanding role as one of Detroit's gathering places for jazz musicians and audiences while giving festivalgoers another place to experience live music beyond the festival stages.

On Saturday and Sunday nights, Jazz Lives Here expands beyond Cliff Bell’s with live jazz at Queens, The Bastille and Old Park Bar.

Beginning at 9:30 p.m. each night, all three establishments will feature live performances through 1:30 a.m., creating a collection of late-night destinations where festivalgoers, musicians and Detroiters can keep the music going throughout downtown.
